Some people truly come alive in the summer, sun-kissed, carefree, and effortlessly breezy. They toss their towels on the sand, soak up the sunshine, and seem made for warm weather living. I admire them, but I’ve never quite figured out how to be one of them. For me, summer feels less spontaneous and more like a full-scale production. Instead of simply “going with the flow,” I’m armed with prep lists, weather apps, and enough SPF to double as wall paint. Let me explain why my version of summer looks a little different.

We spend so much of our lives in pursuit.
We look for what lights us up, work that feels right, rituals that soften the edges, beauty that brings us back to ourselves. We chase meaning. We want to feel rooted. Whole. Alive. And sometimes, we do.

At first, we welcome it.

The light. The longer days. The loosening.

The freedom disguised as ease.

We think we’re craving vacation, warmth, and play. And maybe we are. But often, what we really want is to be let off the hook. To be excused from performance. To stop pretending we’re not tired.

And summer, if you listen closely, is not just about bright joy. It’s about what gets revealed when the light lingers too long.

It’s raining as I am here writing this, typical April weather. The kind of rain that does not respect your plans or your boots. It just arrives, without any excuse. The sky has been changing all day, first the sun in the morning, then wind at noon, and now the sky is overcast with rain that is hitting the window.

Something about this month always seems to surprise me.

March always feels like a season in between. Not quite winter, not fully spring. The days stretch longer, but the air still carries a chill. Some trees remain bare, while others begin to bud.

There’s something about this time of year that mirrors the exact feeling of standing at the edge of change, that moment when you’re ready for something new, yet hesitant to fully step into it.

I’ve often wondered how to capture that elusive, deep-rooted feeling of gratitude that stays with you, grounding and connecting you to life’s beauty in the quietest moments. That’s where scent comes in.

True success in intuition comes from integrating it into everyday life. Whether it’s making decisions in business, nurturing relationships, or managing personal challenges, intuition offers guidance that can enhance every area of life. It’s not about always knowing the outcome but trusting that you’re being led in the right direction.

You'll see how our careers or businesses are not just a means to making money but a way of fulfilling destiny aligned with personal values and passions. Just think what it would be like to start your day with joy, not despair. If it is work that excites our insides and gets us alive in those weird ways, then we are doing exactly what suits who WE really are. This alignment reminds us to fully showcase what makes our own hearts sing; hence activating a feeling of success and value that echoes in all aspects of life.

The term "well-being" is often thrown around in various contexts, but what does it truly mean? In my framework, well-being encompasses a holistic view of our health, including not just nutrition and exercise, but also mental health, sensory experiences, and our overall energy and essence.

Summer, with its vibrant energy and possibilities, invites us to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the beauty around us. However, for many of us (myself included) transitioning into summer brings a mix of excitement and hesitation.
